Hi, Miss Bliss,

I have a question on how to deal with explaining my lifestyle to friends. I am only out to a few of my friends as bisexual. And it’s not something I want to tell everyone I come across, because I feel although it is an important part of who I am, it is not the only defining part of who I am.

I am happily married and bi and my husband and I have a girlfriend that comes to visit us a couple times a year. Not only is she our lover but she is one of my closest and dearest friends. So it is more than just physical.

I guess my question is what is the best way to explain this to another friend?

STRAP-ON SOME VIBRATION

March 9, 2009
legs

Many bi girls fantasize about pleasing their partners with a strap-on, but sometimes the fantasy does not live up to reality. Traditional strap-ons can be disappointing because often the wearer feels little to no sensation when penetrating a partner. Since the wearer cannot feel much, she may worry that she is penetrating her partner too hard, too deep, or not enough.

Ladies, one of the number one complaints I hear from bi-girls is there is no community. There was a time when I thought it was impossible to have a group of intelligent, lovely, talented and kind bisexual girl friends in Los Angeles, but that is no longer the case. Thanks to Bliss Warrior, I have met many wonderful bi women in LA and have developed deep and fun friendships with them.

“It shocked me when I learned Prop. 8 had passed,” says a woman named Helen with long hair and kind eyes.  “I thought when Obama won, Prop. 8 would fail.” “A lot of people did,” I say.  It is a quiet and cold November afternoon in Manhattan, and six bisexual women have come together to [...]

The ballerina and I lay entangled in the tall grass. Her orgasm still pulsating off her skin and penetrating mine. Listening to our racing hearts beat in, what felt like unison, we breathed the fresh Hawaiian breeze that rushed over our sun soaked bodies and relaxed. My wondering, ever fantasizing mind had been silenced in the zen of actualization. I had just made love to a woman for the first time and it was just how I imagined it to be. Incredible. [...]

CAN A THREESOME HELP YOU FIND YOUR TRUE LOVE?

Talk to some couples, and they might just tell you that there is no such thing as the single bi-girl who enjoys threesomes. In fact, many couples call these girls “unicorns” because they are magical creatures that are impossible to find. Or are they? In my travels across the country brunching with bi-women, I have [...]

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO – Chapter Four – The Taste of Tingles

I have a tendency to forget the endings of things…books, movies, TV shows. This is a strange inherited trait from my mother. On one level, I think it is a trick of the mind so that I can re-visit things time and again which I love or find moving and still experience an element of surprise. But also, I have learned that for as much as my analytical brain determines so much of my day to day existence that when I become involved with something driven by or experienced [...]

She Danced Into My Fairytale – Part Three – A Baby Bi-Girl Shares Her First Time

Saturday morning the ballerina was the first thing on my mind. My man and I had our coffee and breakfast together and he headed out to work in the yard. I took a walk down to Danya’s. I had to talk to a girl. I was overflowing from the night before. My face was blushed and I was silly with excitement for this human. I slipped into Danya’s little house and fell onto a pile of pillows on her floor. She knew. [...]

SPIN THE BOTTLE – THE CONCLUSION

July 11, 2008

“I think these are straight gin,” giggles Carina, handing you and George tall glasses full of ice and clear liquid. “I made the mistake of pouring the gin first and I’m so drunk… Let’s just say, it left little space for tonic.”

She leaves to collect her drink from the kitchen as you and George linger on Carina’s bed, sipping your drinks. If they are straight gin, you are too drunk to notice [...]

She Danced Into My Fairytale – Part Two – A Baby Bi-Girl Shares Her First Time

I woke up leisurely, made a breakfast, and got some work done. I took a long hot shower later in the day. I shampooed twice, used a little extra conditioner, shaved those sexy legs and delicate underarms and sensitive bikini line. I soaped up my body with my olive soap bar, rinsed, and dried. I combed my long hair out [...]
