Last night I sat outside at the Duplex with my gorgeous friend, Rosanna. After years of dreaming and fantasizing about being with a woman, it finally happened. At happy hour after work one Friday, Rosanna and a group of coworkers went out for drinks. After a few rounds of some frothy drinks, Rosanna and her lovely, petite, hot coworker, Adia, went to the bathroom together. And in that small space, my darling girl Rosanna turned and kissed Adia, and Adia kissed her back.
Adia, the girl Rosanna had fantasized about for months, was finally in her arms: so soft, so small, so sensual. The two shared a magical, intense night together and Rosanna looked forward to the weeks ahead, full of sensual exploration with this amazing woman. It was the first time either of them had been with a girl and Rosanna assumed Adia was as ready as she was to spend evenings together in each other’s arms.
BUT…. Adia wasn’t ready. She freaked out, acted weird, avoided Rosanna. Such a shame, really. Rosanna didn’t want to own the girl… but how could Adia not want more when they shared such undeniable sexual chemistry?
Rosanna looks at me with her beautiful round brown eyes and twists her dark brown curls around her finger. “How do I find a girl who won’t freak out? How do I find the girl who wants to spend the day kissing on the sofa?”
“Darling, girl,” I say to the Italian beauty, “you’ve already done the hardest part. You’ve had your first great experience, and although it didn’t end the way you wanted, the hardest part is over. You KNOW that you love making love to girls. This knowledge is already changing you. You probably see the world differently already, noticing the girls on the street who are noticing you. You’re already more sexually confident which makes you more beautiful. Trust that cool bigirls are going to come to you.”
“But, when? How?”
“Luckily, you know me.”
She laughs, “Oh, my God. You are too much.”
“I will introduce you to all of the amazing bigirls I’ve pulled together so far. Who knows?”
“But I want Adia!”
“And maybe in a few months when she stops worrying about how much she liked it and whether this makes her a dyke or whatever she’s freaking over… Maybe then you’ll get to have her again. In the meantime, let’s go out!”
“It seems so easy for you.”
“Darling, I’ve been practicing for 15 years. Keep flirting with the girls that come into your life. Love them, complement them, be good to girls and the right, fabulous, sane, amazing bigirls will find you. Wear hot lingerie under your clothes, be ready for her to show up at any moment and KNOW that she will. We bigirls DO find each other. It just takes a little patience and faith.”
She smiles like she still doesn’t believe me, but she will.
